That's how I feel about my age. I'm 31, and life is the best it's ever been for me. I've been riding a wave of creativity and happiness for about a year and a half, and I'm still waiting for the crash.

In the meantime, I've been avoiding certain responsibilities, like 401k plans, getting that pesky divorce that's been hanging over my head for two years now, and owning my own house instead of renting from wealthy yet lazy landlords who couldn't care less about the quality of living under their neglected roof.

I've got a lifelong career with my current job...if I so choose, a job that keeps teaching me very important lessons that I'll carry with me forever. I love this job above all others, but am I ready to be "locked-in" or "branded"? The scary part is, I think I am indeed ready. It's a non-profit organization, so it can't possibly be the money. I must really love my work, then. That's something.

I'm an adult with a youth's wardrobe, a grown up with a Top Ramen budget. I am today's thirty-something, and it's more awkward than puberty, but DAMN am I having fun!
